Poupelle Of Chimney Town The Movie December 2020 Roadshow

The world of Chimney town is full of smoke and there is nothing even if you look up. The protagonists act with the hope that “there may be stars over the smoke”, but they are attacked by the townspeople, saying “there is no star”.
It’s like a “modern society” in which we live. We are laughed when we talk about our dreams and we are hit when we act.
Actually, “Poupelle of chimney town” is a very long and magnificent story consisting of 10 chapters, and only a few of them about 3 to 5 chapters are depicted in the picture book. The mystery of the birth of Chimney town which the beginning of the story, The reason why the main characters began to dream of the smoke, The justice of the Inquisition that controls the Chimney town And The true main character of “Poupelle in ChimneyTown” “Bruno” . Theses are not drawn in the picture book version.
The position of this movie adaptation is the goal of the whole “Poupelle of Chimney Town” project.
However, at the same time, I felt that the hurdle to making a story that no one knows suddenly into a movie was not ordinary. So at the beginning, we spun a part of the story in the form of a “picture book”, and from there we changed various things such as the stage. We decided to make many people interested by connecting to different media.
We have held solo exhibitions not only in Japan but also overseas, and we have been continuing our activities so that we can finally visit the cinema. Then, in 2020, the long-awaited movie adaptation was decided. I feel that it is the best time to do it.
Through this story, I hope that you and the children who bear the future will find the meaning of chasing dreams.
